Croft - Grieve wins on home tarmac

Local boy Chris Grieve made good by taking overall victory at Croft this weekend. Derek Pierce bagged two wins but a non finish in his second heat cost him dearly. Robin Drysdale's lap record was beaten three times and indeed the top six drivers in practice were all inside the previous benchmark. Jamie Clarke broke the record in heat one before Steve Thompson raised the bar again in heat three. Dave Newsham left it until the final to break it once again.
