Grieve's opener...

Chris Grieve took a heat and final double to top the points in the opening round of the champioship at Donington Park on Sunday 7th May.

29 cars went into the draw for the heats and it was Steve Thompson who took the first heat to take his 31st career win. Dave Newsham bagged heat two with Grieve bagging the remaining races and also breaking the Donington Park National Circuit lap record.

The annual first round Rookie Trophy was won by Matthew Pape who now leads the season long Rookie Championship from Darren Gaulton and former Rallycrosser Dave Ward. Simon Belcher won the award for 'Driver of the Day'.
