2006 Round 3 - Anglesey

Rain Stops Play...

Torrential rain brought a halt to the racing at Anglesey on Sunday. The two heats that were run did however show that all the drivers are going from strength to strength with very competitive action.

Malcolm Clark effected some extensive repairs to his car overnight and was back on the grid after his collision with his brother Kevin on Saturday. John 'Jon' Higgins was also back on track but using the Burnett Motorsport hire car.

Revelation of the first heat (and also the practice session) was Simon Belcher who claimed second place to Higgins in the first heat. The second race saw Peter Morton trading places with Lawrence Davey for the lead whilst, just behind them, Chris Grieve and Ian Sturt fought hard for third.

The heavy rain that had fallen throughout the morning got progressively worse with officials having no choice but to abandon the meeting prior to the third heat.
