Newsham again... just!

A tie for points at the end of the day saw the 'overtaking count back' used for the first time for a long while to determine the day's overall winner.

A considerable amount of hard work by many in the paddock ensured that a full grid emerged for Sunday's races, notably Steve Mills who was back in action after the rollover in Saturday's final.

Dave Moore had also ended Saturday with an 'off' and it was good to see him bounce back from that with his first National Championship race win in race two. Four different race winners underlined just how close things were and the count back revealed that Dave Newsham had made up 14 places from his grid positions over the day whilst Peter Morton had made 12.

Driver of the day was Steve Reynolds.

Overall meeting points: 1st Dave Newsham & Peter Morton (520pts), 3rd= Jamie Clarke 7 Chris Grieve (500), 5th= Lawrence Davey & Derek Pierce (490), 6th Simon Belcher (440).
