Lawrence's Day...

Lawrence Davey took overall victory on Sunday with a win in the final plus third and fourth places in the heats. The final All the races were hotly contested with Jamie Clarke winning the opener and Dave Newsham the second. The third race came under a full course caution with Peter Morton and Lee Fitzpatrick embedded in the gravel on the exit of Clearways. Simon Belcher, Steve Thompson, Derek Pierce and Glenn Burtenshaw had a decent lead at that point although the safefy car period allowed Lawrence to claw his way up to join the group and ultimately into the lead. Any one of the top five could have won but it was Lawrence who did so by 1/100th of a second from Steve with Glenn in third from Jamie.

Driver of the day was Dave Ward who completed his first meeting 'in the pack' in fine style. Dave's results included an excellent ninth in the second race.
