Dan is just 21 years of age and joins the National Championship from the Scottish Championship. He lives in Stockfield, just outside Newcastle upon Tyne.

In 2004 he raced in the Scottish Legends Championship, taking 13th place. His debut in Legends was in the 2003 Scottish Championship.

Prior to racing in Legends Dan spent 5 years in Karts, first on the short circuits then on the long circuits.
